Architecture


      The aim of the Architecture Program is to raise the students up who are sensitive to scientific and profession development and can easily understand and interpret national- international research and practice, and the students who are able to study in this field. In line  with this general objective, subgoals can be ordered like that: to prepare the students with the necessary knowledge and skill for a professional practice, information gathering, to teach the methods of analysis and evaluation, to introduce the students with the modern instrument and materials that are going to be used during these studies.


      The fundamentals of this Undergraduate Program consist of design lessons that begin in the first term then gradually increase, and design lessons complemented with diploma project. Although design group lessons are not necessary, the other lessons that are going to be continued more than one semester, can be summarized as an architecture and history of art, system of construction, building material, environmental control, human and environmental relations, research methods, social and ethnic responsibility, the tools and techniques of presentation and communication, organization of project and worksite. The lessons, akin to semesters, as they can be seen in the appendix, are structured in a consecutive system in reference to requirement of design lessons.


      The Architecture Undergraduate Program lessons constitute compulsory, compulsory optional subject and the optional subject. As it can be seen in the appendix again, these stated lessons are structured and distributed in a consecutive system. Students have to complete 179 course credits in order to get architecture formation. These total course credits comprise 35 per cent design group lessons, 25 per cent construction group lessons. The remained 40 per cent consist of other and other group lessons.
