About Izmir University Social Responsibility Center      

       

      In order to help the handicapped students and visitors and to support social responsibility projects for the elderly, handicapped, and helpless people in the immediate surrounding area, Social Responsibility Center was established. Get information about it.

      The Social Responsibility Center was established within the Student Affairs Department, in the beginning of 2008-2009 Academic Year, aiming to carry out and coordinate  voluntary activities in our university under a single administration. Project activities are funded by the Students Council. Among the projects are Social Awareness Projects, Civil Society and Social Service Internship, charity campaigns and projects of the Handicapped Student Unit. In this context, we work in cooperation with the non-governmental organizations in the city and provide consultancy to raise awareness on such projects.

      Prof. Dr. Yankı Yazgan was in Izmir for a talk  for Turkish Visually Handicapped Library on  May 16-17.

• Turkish Visually Handicapped Library CEO Lawyer Gültekin YAZGAN has been to Izmir University as the quest speaker of Izmir University Social Responsibility Center.
• Izmir University Social Responsibility Center is put into service on March 10, 2009.
• Izmir University Social Responsibility Center’s first service was to establish Handicapped Student Unit.
