Department of Nursing

      Students are accepted to this department with their university exam score. Department of Nursing is a four-year program and provides students with a bachelor’s degree.

     Graduates of this program can work as nurses and nurse directors in healthcare institutions. Graduates demanding a post-graduate study may pursue compatible MSc and PhD studies.

      According to the agreement with the Ministry of Health, our students are going to take practical lectures at hospitals affiliated to The Ministry of Health and contractual private hospitals located in Izmir.

      Nursing is a healthcare discipline, which incorporates both theoretical knowledge and skills. Stemming from human needs, nursing is a profession providing healthcare services to individuals, families and society.

      In this context, having completed a certain training program, a nurse becomes a member of the healthcare unit who has the ability to plan, apply and assess nursing so as to raise healthcare standards, prevent illnesses and contribute to the rehabilitation of the patient.

      Nursing is a discipline of science and arts and it contributes to the training of staff which conducts the planning, organization and assessment of nursing services. Thus, this profession is thought to be a significant social institution.
