      Preschool education is the period when children develop at the most rapid pace. It is aimed to maximize and reinforce their development in their own conditions with preschool teaching. The fact that women take an active role in professional life has increased the demand for preschool education and educational institutions which provide service in this field.

     The education of individuals with special requirements is as important in our country as it is in the world, in terms of improving the educational quality. In our country, as a result of having the characteristic of being a contemporary-social state, the improvements in training services, organizational forms and the rights provided by legal regulations have led to an increase in the demand for private educational institutions. In spite of positive developments in educational opportunities and facility arrangements offered to the individuals with special requirements, the need for qualified and well-trained employees to work in this field is gaining importance day by day.

     Child Development Program has also intended to train teaching assistants to serve for public and private sector in preschool education and integration programs. The compatibility of  the program to developing technology, educational approaches, the requirements of public and private sector as well as that of  the transfer from junior high to vocational high schools or from vocational high schools to colleges will also be considered.
